Bishop Avon T. Banks Jr.
Senior Pastor

Bishop Avon T. Banks Jr. hails from Baltimore, Maryland, where he was born and raised. With over 30 years of experience in ministry, he has contributed to the establishment of churches, provided counseling and mentorship, delivered sermons, and spread the gospel across the United States and abroad.  Following a distinguished 20+ year career in the U.S. Army, Bishop Banks retired in 2004.

In January 2006, driven by his passion for strengthening marriages and families, he became a certified marriage facilitator with the Family Dynamic Institute, initiating Marriage Seminars. Alongside his wife, Minister Valorie Banks, he founded Marriage Infinity, a ministry dedicated to fostering healthier and happier marriages and families through Christ-centered teachings, personalized counseling, coaching, impactful bible studies, and conferences.
Bishop Banks received his license and ordination as a Bishop from the Church of God in 2018. For eight years, he served as the Executive Pastor of International Praise COG in Elgin, SC, overseeing a congregation of over 1,150 members, managing a staff of seven employees, and coordinating a volunteer ministry of 250 individuals.
Responding to the call of God, Bishop Banks relocated from South Carolina to Pennsylvania, where he assumed the role of Pastor at Fellowship of Love (FOL) Church of God on August 9, 2020. Despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, he delivered his inaugural sermon as the Senior Pastor on September 6, 2020.
Currently, Bishop Banks sits on the Pennsylvania Church of God Minister’s Internship Program (MIP) licensing Board. In addition to his pastoral duties, he and his wife conduct Marriage Seminars and Conferences, host a weekly "Makeover Monday" segment on their YouTube channel, and manage a Facebook page titled "Marriage Infinity."
In November, the Banks celebrated their 30th Wedding Anniversary. They are proud parents to six adult children—four daughters and two sons—and grandparents to 12 grandchildren, comprised of five girls and seven boys.
